Why ChatGPT / AI Logos Can't Be Supplied as "Proper Logo Files"
We often get asked to supply logos created using AI tools (such as ChatGPT or other AI image generators) as editable, print-ready logo files
Unfortunately, this isn't possible without rebuilding the logo - and here's why:
The simple reason
AI logos are pictures, not real logos.
They look great on screen, but behind the scenes, they are just flat images, similar to a photo.
What's missing from AI logos
AI-generated logos:
- Do not use real fonts
- Have no editable text
- Are not vector-based
- Have no layers
- Cannot be properly resized for large print
This means they cannot be edited, recoloured, resized or printed professionally without losing quality.
Why this matters
If we simply export an AI logo as a PDF or PSD:
- It will still blur when enlarged
- Printers may reject it
- It won't work properly on workwear, vans or signage
- You may need to pay again later to fix it
That's something we never want our customers to experience.
The correct professional solution
To make an AI logo usable long-term, it must be recreated properly by a designer.
This involves:
- Redrawing the logo in Adobe Illustrator
- Using real fonts
- Creating clean vector shapes
- Optimising it for print, clothing and signage
Once rebuilt, we can then supply:
- AI (Illustrator)
- Print-ready PDF
- PNG (transparent)
- JPEG
This gives you a future-proof logo that works everywhere.
